This tour combines both vegetable and strawberry picking into one
tour. Similar to the other tours, we will begin with an orientation of the days events followed by a short
educational story. We will discuss the different kinds of veggies and fruits that will be seen, and what is in season for picking that day. Your tour guide will be able to
answerany questions the children may have. After
approximately 30 minutes, your group will have a tractor-drawn wagon ride around the entire farm where the
children will see & learn about other crops and production activities. The wagon ride
will last approximately 30 minutes and will drop the children off in the field
where they willexperience
first-hand what is growing. After everyone has picked a selection of veggies and
strawberries, we will
re-board the wagon for a ride back to our grass area with covered picnic
tables, where those who have brought a packed lunch will be able to sit
and eat. Some refreshments are available in our Farm Market. After the
picnic, the children will be able to see, touch, and learn about our different farm animals
in our Farm Animal Center*. At
the end of the tour each child will receive a farm activity coloring book to take home.
*Attractions in the Animal Center are an additional fee.
